Indrajeet Rai, a pioneering figure in forensic journalism, holds the distinction of being India’s first forensic journalist and the longest-serving in this specialized field. With an illustrious 24-year career in investigative and forensic journalism, he has become a key influencer in the industry. His academic credentials are equally impressive, with postgraduate degrees in Criminology and Forensic Science, a PhD in Forensic Science, and a diploma in Programming and System Management (Cyber) from the National Institute of Management and Computer Technology. Rai’s specialized certifications include Crime Scene Investigation from IFS and Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime from UNODC, demonstrating his expertise in complex investigative areas.

Beyond journalism, Rai has trained several state police forces, including those in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab, bolstering their investigative acumen. As a visiting faculty member at respected institutions like Lucknow University, Amity University, Sharda University, and Bikaner University, he imparts his extensive knowledge to the next generation of professionals.

Rai’s accomplishments have garnered national and international accolades, including the prestigious World Book of Records award in London, where he was honored as India’s first and longest-serving forensic journalist. His remarkable contributions were further celebrated in Paris with the Bharat Gaurav Award, and he received the NT Award and ENBA Award for his excellence in investigative reporting in India.
